The game crashes each and every time I try to access the pause menu. Pressing ESC brings up the menu for a fraction of a second, then I'm straight back to the desktop, no error messages or anything - the game just closes right then and there.
This has started to happen since the start of the prologue mission in Saarbruecken, before that point I had no problems pausing the game.
System specs:
CPU: Intel i7-4702MQ 3.2 GHz (quad-core)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 850M
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Win8.1
Anyone knows how to fix or work around this issue?

[EDIT] I just tried to start a new game and pause as soon as I had control of Sean: it still crashes. This means that the crashes do not happen from a specific point on in the game.
I'm repairing the game installation via Galaxy as I type this, then I'll try to reinstall it via offline installer if I experience the issue again.
