Hello BattyMare419,

I'm sorry that the method didn't work for you.

Here are more informations about my game install (maybe it will help)

I'm running the GOG v2.1.0.4, Just install the game right now on a fresh windows install. Knife activation sucessfully once again.

I will add as an attached image a QR code with a link to mega.nz where you can download the original launcher (from the original 2009 DVD Edition) as well as a copy of my Documents folder for the saboteur. (My own files from my DVD. Not downloaded from a strange website somewhere)

My "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\The Saboteur™\SaveGames" folder content a fully activated Knife (data01.bin) and a config.ini with every graphics settings at maximum Just use this folder and everything should work (don't forget to copy your saves if you already have one)

Alternatively you can copy paste the original launcher in your install folder and run it.

Then press F4 and enter this key BH87-VJ52-VK5Z-8J4N

Hope this will help you :-)

PS : whrite another message if you need more help or if everything is OK

Thank you so much, it worked with the cmd !
Also can we included the GlobalMod 2.0 from @HappyS at playground.ru as standard for the GOG release because it fixes, restores and enhances so much things that should have been in the game !
You can run the VideoSetup.exe from Command Prompt, appending -unlock and enter the code "BH87-VJ52-VK5Z-8J4N" for the Nazi knife, it still works.

All the instructions below to be typed without '

1. Win+R and type 'cmd', then press enter to run Command Prompt;
2. Change to The Saboteur main folder:
a- you might have to change drive: type '<LetterOfDrive>:' (e.g: 'e:') and press enter
b: Go to the root folder of The Saboteur: type "cd <SaboteurDir>" and press enter (e.g: 'cd "GoGLibrary\The Saboteur"')
3: Type 'VideoSetup.exe -unlock' and press enter: this will trigger the prompt window to insert the code to unlock the nazi knife
4. Type BH87-VJ52-VK5Z-8J4N (without the "-"; Copypaste didn't work for me).

If you start a new game you should have the nazi knife.

Ok, I had some troubles with this but I got it to work.

I had the file videosetup.exe in my game file folder but it wouldn't let me edit it without an error. So, what I did was right click videosetup.exe and the selected "create a shortcut".

In the target tab of the short cut I saw the following.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\The Saboteur\VideoSetup.exe"

I added the -unlock to it and the target field had this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\The Saboteur\VideoSetup.exe" -unlock

Then I clicked the shortcut to run it and the field where you put the code came up.

I keyed in the code and didn't try to paste it. And I got the message that I had unlocked the knife.

Like what? And I don't know if anyone knows how to do what you suggested. I certainly don't! I'd like all the fixes to be in my game before I play it!

fresco: You can also try to launch the VideoSetup.exe with the parameter "-unlock" (without the quotes). Actually this executable does both, video settings and the unlocking for the knife. After it is unlocked, a file named "data01.bin" will appear in "Documents\My Games\The Saboteur\SaveGames".

Basically it's the same file for everyone, would be nice if GOG automatically include this.
To anyone wondering where to add the "-unlock" parameter: go to the "The Saboteur" folder in the "Start Menu" folder, right click on it and chose "open location" you will be directed to a folder with the icon, in that icon (NO THE ONE IN THE INSTALLATION FOLDER) right click and add the parameter at the end of the "destination" line (Sorry my Windows copy is in Spanish) in the attached picture is more detailed, after that press "F4" and add the code. It works.

Wow, The Saboteur has DLC? I didn't know that. I'll have to try one of the methods of activating this add-on and see if it works.
