killiox: Bad news then, I hope you like having to play a handicapped barman, a black hacker, all while interaction with an androgyonus android, and having small talks with (Spoilers!):
- A red-head scientist
- A muslim lawyer
- A trans woman
- A black neuro-scientist
And all of this while reflecting on the influence of society on personal contruction, the notion of proprerty in tech-fields and the limits of human freedom.
So, TL;DR, you won't like the game. You'll feel insulted by characters who will straight up tell you that you're an asshole.
To be fair, the devs do head toward being intolerant retards, ironically enough. You're asked if we should do something about the oppression of women, to which I naturally replied "there is none", because naturally I thought they were talking about the game world - a world which is in the future, where corporations screw everyone, and where around half of the high-level employees in the game were women. Then I was told I was stupid? Really?
Half the people in the "evil corporation" were women, who were quite senior level. If the game's world is supposed to be "oppressive" towards women, then the devs have done a terrible job of showing this. And if (as I suspect) this was some kind of retarded semi-intentional fourth-wall introspective on our current society, then it was handled very poorly indeed.
The rest of the game wasn't too bad though, so if you can forgive one massive case of mega-derpiness, it's worth a look. In general, there was no big fuss made over what gender/sexual orientation/minority/etc. the characters were - they just were what they were, no one had a big exposition about how they're the "gayest man in the village" or anything... ;)
