Many times I accidentally deleted objects that I had spent a decent amount of time on the exact positioning of. I suggest that developers highlight those objects that, when pressed with the LMB (by default), will be disassembled. That is, just like creating, only the wireframe highlight should not be green, but red. As an alternative, the multitool should noticeably change the look or even the sound when in disassembly mode.
