Hello, first time posting on the GOG Forums, I hope I'm doing this all correctly.
Anyway, I'm having an issue with Penumbra Overture's audio. I'm in Shaft 13 and three times now I've had the game's audio cut out on me when I was inside the locker room. Twice it was while Red was talking, and a third time while I was standing near the sinks. This doesn't happen every time, but often enough that it's quite irritating, as I have to close the game and lose my current progress to get my audio back.
This may be related to the fact that my laptop has a strange issue in which a few games I've played will just stop playing audio if my headphone jack is interacted with in any way. I haven't touched my audio cable while playing, but perhaps it has a loose connection. I tested how Penumbra responds with this and it seems to work on my laptop speakers, and if i plug in headphones, it will switch to those - but then if I remove the headphones, the game's audio dies and won't come back til I restart it.
Does anybody know of a fix that would Penumbra's audio cutting out if a headphone jack disconnects (assuming that's the issue)? Otherwise does anybody know any fixes or the audio just randomly breaking in general? I've tried changing the sound hardware option on and off, seems to make no difference.
