Inherent slight spoilers.




I got stuck and had to look up a walktrhough, even after reading the description of what to do I'm still stuck. o_O

Fairly early in Overture you need a fuse to set off some explosive.

In one room is a box of string.
In another room is a barrel of gunpowder.
You're supposed to take the string and use it on the powder to make a fuse.

I can't pick up the string.

The lid is sitting on the box of string and it's not interactive. It can be inspected with right-click but leftclick does nothing, neither does pounding on it with tools.

Put away your weapon; that keeps you from interacting with things.

Have you found the in-game instructions? I remember having trouble with that part because it was obvious what you want to do, but you have to find instructions for making a fuse in-game before your character will take it.
