Just bought the Penumbra Collection as part of the Halloween sale and none of them will launch. I get one second of black screen and then instant closure.

Not a huge financial loss, but I was really looking forward to playing these games. Is anybody else experiencing this?

Yes I'm finding the same thing here - must be a compatibility issue with Mavericks. Hope GOG can find a workaround or fix.

Same here does not work in Mavericks.
What is "Mavericks"?

Latest version of OS X.

10.9
Exact same problem here. Get a black screen, then it closes, and nothing. When sys requirements on gog state OS X 10.6.8 or later, obviously that isn't the case.

Did you try contacting support?

Looks like the system requirements were recently updated, (Mac): OS X 10.6.8 or later.(not compatible with Mac OS X 10.9).

True, but you really have to be looking for that. The info at the top of the page still says 10.6.8 or later. This is confusing at best.

No, I agree. Still, I always look at the system requirements. Ideally, GOG will be able to workaround whatever 10.9 broke in the near future.

What do you mean RECENTLY updated? If you are saying that the sys requirements stated OS X 10.6.8 or later, then was later edited that to the correct sys requirement info, what good does that do to those who bought this before the correct information was made public? In a case like that, shouldn't Gog make a refund offer or at least a store credit equivalent to the cost of said purchase?

The sentence doesn't appear ambiguous to me. I meant RECENTLY as in not that long ago. Then again I consider 10.9 to have come out recently. If it makes you feel better, most likely you missed reading it in the system requirements. I hardly track when such edits are made. Best thing to do is contact support.

I have just spent best part of over an hour trying to contact support about this issue, but no matter what I do in the contact support screen I cannot get it to work, just keeps asking me for a system file which I create as they state it should be created, I then choose Browse, select the file, then nothing, no attached file no error message.

The game is advertised incorrectly, at the top it states it will work on 10.6.8 or newer, so one would assume that meant anything above 10.6.8 is OK.

On another forum here it was pointed out that in the System Requirements at the bottom of the game page it states ( Not compatible with Mac OS X 10.9 )

Lucky that I run Bootcamp so I can run the software in there, but others might not run Bootcamp nor want to.

I hope support reads this because I can no way to get their support page to accept any of the files they require.

That's odd. Perhaps it's your browser + whatever security settings you have enabled? Try this one. Skip adding the file.

Thanks for the idea about skipping the file but it insists that I attach one.

Managed to get a report through to support regarding the spec differences on the Game page, I did it under a another support heading.
