It's a decent rpg that I had fun playing at launch on GamePass. As far as buying it goes, if it were $20 for the whole thing (game + Season Pass) that'd be worth it imo. First half of the game is great, second half feels like it was trimmed to meet a deadline / budget.

And 20 euro for the base game only ?

It gets boring very quickly. It's hard to relate or even care about the world and characters. I also played it on Game Pass during release and couldn't bring myself to finish it because I just didn't care about the world and didn't feel like learning more. If you're really starving for a Bethesda style RPG it will scratch the itch.

I don't know what's in the DLC but $20 for the base game would be okay if you really want that fallout/elder scrolls fix, but be warned, the writing is terrible and characters are pretty mediocre, there's no one memorable.

Late response but I'd urge you to ignore most of the negativity and criticism people give it. A lot of people went into it expecting it to be New Vegas 2 in space with an open sandbox world but that's not what it is, nor was it ever meant to be that. It has Fallout elements, for sure, but this is more of what I'd call a "roleplaying sandbox" than a "sandbox RPG". By that, I mean that the game itself is only semi-open world and you can't do all the "live another life" stuff you can do in sandbox RPGs, but the ways you can customize your character and the sheer amount of choice and consequence allows the player to basically just pursue the quests in any way you want. In many ways, it resembles the RPG depth of classic RPGs like Baldur's Gate or Obsidian's own Pillars of Eternity more than it resembles any other first person RPG out there right now.

The only issues I have with it are the gunplay (which isn't bad, but it also isn't great) and the way the companions feel slightly unfinished in terms of their features. Otherwise, it's easily one of my favorite RPGs and I'd say it's 100% worth it to anyone who enjoys narrative-driven RPGs with loads of choices and consequences. Go in with the right expectations and it ends up being a downright awesome roleplaying experience.
Looking to the style which is used i would think more towards Borderlands instead of Fallout New Vegas.
And if you say first person then it's definitely more a Borderlands like game.
You have to enjoy talking to every one you meet. The conversations can go on and on and on.
Its more to me of a "boring conversation simulator"
Some enjoy this heavy narative low action type game and thats great.
Just figure out what camp your in before you feel half your game time is just clicking choices in conversations.
like many average games similar to it, its worth picking up when its on sale. under 10 bucks? sure you'll get some hours into it. It isn't a great game, it's limited in rpg, exploring and really doesn't have much of a story, but any average game similar to it, get it on sale you'll enjoy it for a little bit.

Get your hack/science skills up asap to open anything, grab 2 companions and 50% exp bonus and outfit them in the strogest gear, pump up the 2 companion skills and science so you can tinker your weapns to high damage, and let your companions mow through the enemies. Isn't hard or difficult.
