I bought this game a bit too quickly it seems, not noticing it was 1.1.1 on gog whereas 1.3 is available since august.
So, update soon ?

Perhaps they use different version numbers between GOG and Steam. But, GOG has today received the most recent update(1.1.2b).

Edit: You may also be thinking of the original DOS version of the game, which is available as a bonus and is already v1.3.

downloaded version 1.1.1 on linux, while windows version is 1.1.2b.
I'm not sure versions are that different, but there's even a github with version 1.3.
I'm not against compiling it myself, but I would sure enjoy the latest versions of the maps.

But maps had not been updated for ages.

Win v1.1.1 is when engine has been ported to SDL2 library.
Win v1.1.2b + Lin v1.1.1 is small Windows only fix for the engine + initial release of the Linux version.
And after that directly follows Widescreen patch.

You can see that hashes are different, leading me to think some modifications have been made.
I have no clue if they are whatsoever decisive or just small fixes, but it would still be nice to have the latest version, which is presumably the most up to date/stable.

It is up to date 1.1.2b is the EXE version not the SVE.wad version the wad with the GOG version is at 1.2.

1.3 was only a change for the Nintendo Switch version of Veteran Edition and only meant for that version.
