so far I have been enjoying the game for a bit, but there seems to be a problem: How do I save my progress? I finished the first Side Quest, exited the game and starting it later it put me back in the tutorial with all of my progress reset. All the highscores, all the levels, all the items just gone. Even the options in the options menu were reset.

I also wasn't able to find a "Save" option anywhere. Running the game with Administrator privileges also hasn't helped. Is there no saving in the game? Is something broken? Did I do something wrong?

after experimenting a bit I found out that my problem was the security software I have installed. It was blocking access for the game to "secure folders", one of which was the place where the saves would have been created. Changing the settings to allow The Metronomicon access to those solved the problem
