If, like me, you got to Niwa and met Sadness and were frustrated beyond belief because your recording software crapped its pants because you were trying to record at 60fps, there's a couple of steps I took with the help of another user on GOG (Forgive me I can't remember their name right now)

1) You have to set the game to 720p/30fps/no vsync

2) Set your recording software to record at 720p/30fps

Not ideal, but it's the only way I was able to continue recording using my setup with a Ryzen 3600 and an AMD 5700 XT.

Good luck, soldier.
Really glad I figured this out. I don't get a lot of traffic on youtube, but this is a game I really wanted to play through.
Just a heads up, there's no point in setting it to 720p/30fps if you're not recording it. It's just very brutal when recording, that's all. But if you own the game already, you're aware of that.

Particularly, when you first meet Sadness, if you have the game set to 1080p, it'll slow down to 10fps. But ONLY in the recording pane. In your regular pane, it looks just fine.
