So, here on GoG, tLoM states 10.7.5 for the OS requirement but on the Mac app store the required os is 10.6.6.

I'd rather give my money to GoG; do you think it would run fine? Thanks!

GOG isn't supporting Mac OS X pre-10.7.x anymore for newer releases. I assume you are running 10.6.8? I should be able to check if it starts within the next few days.

Thanks. I asked the dev, and he said: "The Minimum spec is OSX 10.6 I believe."

I've noticed that all the recent releases are 10.7 at least (although, curiously, the DLC for Don't Starve is 10.6.8), but I've run some just fine - Enclave and System Shock 2, to be exact.

Also, some games that are listed as 10.7 don't actually need that OS as the minimum, like Shadowrun Returns.

Yes, like I said GOG is not supporting earlier versions of Mac OS.

I actually found some time earlier:
<snip>
Couldn't load .s86 file: The Lords of Midnight.app/Contents/MacOS/The Lords of Midnight.s86.
Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libc++.1.dylib

I didn't look into it any further besides checking that said library was indeed missing or not at /usr/lib/libc++.1.dylib.

I know gog doesn't test on 10.6 anymore, but like I said in the previous post, some of the games listed as 10.7 run fine regardless.

Thanks for the reply, but the part about libraries is going over my head.

Game crashes on starting with that error. That library isn't included with the GOG build, but the game very well may work if it's installed.

Thank you :) Just to make sure my non-technically informed brain is reading you right, if I purchase the game from gog.com, it wont work?

Correct, unless you have that library, libc++.1.dylib, on your Mac.

Just to clarify this. The Minimum spec IS 10.7, this is due to a change of minimum spec for Marmalade, the underlying system I use to give me cross platform compatibility. I had missed the change in spec.

I believe it has something to do with the removal of the usage for Quicktime API by Apple. They started rejecting OSX App Store apps that were using the library.
