I wonder what the "technical reasons" are for "the release of The Longing on GOG.com [being] slightly delayed". The Steam release seems to have gone as planned today. Not complaining, just curious. Hopefully we can buy it on GoG soon!

I suspect it is to remove the requirement to be connected to the internet to start the game, which goes against GOG's DRM free policy.

If you look at the profile who posted this, it is clear that it either a developer, or someone working for the developer. This requirement breaks GOG's DRM free policy.

Probably the delay was because the game had an internet connection requirement but now after some days they seem to remove that requirement for the gog release
