Why does the requirements list broadband internet required? This doesn't appear to be multi player game so it should not be needing an internet connection. This smells of DRM.

Can you play this offline completely?

I don't think there is any kind of DRM, the game need an internet connection to get the time for the 400 days.
That's it.

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.

Definitely DRM in my opinion. Looks like it has been delayed on GOG, probably to remove internet requirement.

Prolly not DRM but simply a needed ntp (network time protocol) server connection to get the timecode correct when starting ... and not everyone manually connects to those regularly like i do ...

I guess they'll just have to reprogram a bit for GoG as there are no achievements and the like as at Steam so prolly system time might be enough ...

So if the servers go dark, can I still play it?

If not, it may not be DRM but it def. acts like one.

Looks more like a short-term prank, to me.

There is no need for an internet connection in the GoG version. So you can play the game offline.

Cool, thanks!
Yep, they removed the requirement on gog so I happily bought it here.
