So, after a few days in the well staring at the screen waiting for the bucket to be lowered, and missing it twice, I finally jumped in and outside was the old man raising it, which is the one I was hoping to get (still not sure if you can get the troll or what). And then the world-screen freezes. I can get to the menus and all, but the action is halted with a still of the old man raising the rope.
After a while I give up and close the game. When I go back in, I'm in the well again, and time is at 000 00 00 00. Oh!, and the shortcuts don't work, I have to walk manually. Right now I'm walking slowly back to the King's chamber to see if I can at least awaken him. And, if I can't, I'll walk back up and try to throw myself of the ledge. C'mon!, give me at least one ending I don't have to watch on Youtube.
What a sad letdown at the end, :'(
