So I asked Funcom to release the game with it's original audio-track.

They did not answer me so I asked GOG and they replied to me politely that they werent able due to the deal they had with Funcom. But they would do their best whenever possible. Still, when playing this game after sooo many years, I wanted to re-live the story through the original norwegian audio.
I went online and looked for an original norwegian copy. After a while I found it online and bought it ( at quite a steep price, but still worth it ). I installed it on my Windows 10, and "YES" the game started! I even got through the 5 first minutes of the game and then .. crash. It crashed every time even with different "compability settings". So, what to do... Aha, I could buy the game from GOG and then try the OLD way to get around these issues.

So, I bought the game from GOG as well and installed the english version. Crossing my fingers I deleted ALL files in the original game directory with norwegian audio... "I know it's a long shot, but I'll try anyway". I copied the files in the game directory on the GOG version and launched game.exe. And it WORKED! Really, now I have a "GOG patched game with Norwegian audio". Played it around for a couple of hours with no issues at all. I really hope this works out trougout the game. Arrhh, I really feel like master yoda now.

I really just wanted to share that it's actually possible.. If there are any other norwegians out there wanting to play the game with its original sound... or not.. Well who cares, I'm happy with my achievement today :-)

Happy gaming!
Yes, i did it with the german sound files from my old TLJ-version ages ago. But both TLJ-versions need to be the same. The last update was a sound update, they changed to ogg sound files. So you was lucky, it dont works with different version numbers.

Might I enquire as to where you found the norwegian version? Been aching to play that for years.

which site???
Hello, I just got the GOG version but was hoping for the Norwegian version. Does anyone have the Norwegian language files? like some people have done with the French, Spanish, Italian and German?
I'm here only for this also. I have been looking everywhere for the Norwegian version. Really wish GOG would have the "native language" version of this game.
I have the game on Steam, and I also have a Norwegian copy of the game. I want to play with Norwegian audio and English subtitles.

I installed the game from Steam (English), then installed the Norwegian copy to a different directory, and then copied all the .xarc files and folders from the Norwegian install to the Steam install, but this makes all the subtitles Norwegian too.

Which files should I copy to leave the subtitles in English?

Don't copy over the .xarc files from the Norwegian copy, because these are your English subtitles are. You only want the language audio files, which are the .ovs files. To make it simple:
1. Search for and delete all .iss files from the GOG/Steam install (the English audio files)
2. Search for and delete all .xarc files from the Norwegian install (the Norwegian subtitles files).
3. Copy all the folders from the Norwegian install and paste them in the GOG/Steam install.

For me, I hope I can find the Swedish version. So sad that it is so hard to get these language options these days. There just aren't many games in Swedish.
