Hi,
I just finished Book 4 of Dreamfall Chapters and I was thinking about playing The Longest Journey again, but when I opened the case, disc 1 was missing.
I played this game a long time ago and I've just rescued it, it's the FX version of 2001 with 4 discs. As I don't have the first one, I only can play from the games I saved from disc 2, 3 or 4. I've looked everywhere I can think of and nothing, is there anything I can do to play it from the begining? Will I have to buy it again?

Unfortunately, the answer is "yes". I doubt that FunCom will still be able to send you that first disc.

The good news is that you don't need to go to ebay and seek out that one old disc, because you're definitely better off with the GOG version. Which is on sale here very, very often and is at least better patched than the 15 year old original.
