Here's news about The Longest Journey Home from today! It mentions the current kickstarter, what reaching 2 mil would do, and what will happen with TLJH even if 2 Mil isn't reached.

Me too. First physical tier also felt like a majority of money would go into covering rewards' cost.

They won't get my money. I don't waste it on a bad reincarnation. April isn't in it and that's reason enough for me not to support it. A TLJ game without the main char is like a witcher game without geralt or metroid without samus. It doesn't feel right. Read already some things over at steam greenlight. And i don't like the new look of zoë. I prefer the old one, how she looked in dreamfall. Also, funcom isn't making it, but some unknown studio, probably founded by some "fans" who thought it would be cool to reincarnate the serie and make an own version.
This is gonna be an epic fail. For those who consider supporting it; don't. Just stick with the good old TLJ games which you find here at gog.

Well, the studio is new, sure, but Ragnar Thornquist, the original creator (and the man who tried to make "Chapters" a reality for several years), is listed as creative director, so I wouldn't call it "some fans".

For the cast, I'm not a fan of Zoe's new look either (looks like much of her inocence, which was the character's main appeal, has been stripped away).

And the decision to remove April, if it's true, is surprising; But I wouldn't call April the main character anymore. That role (the world-hopping normal person that the player indentifies with and explores the 2 universes with) had been usurped by Zoe in the second game. In Dreamfall, April is very passive, and is more like a Mac Guffin (since she is the objective of the other two characters' quests.)
