I have just finished Dream Fall Chapters Book two. Any ideas how long I have to wait for book Three?
No release estimate has been given by Red Thread Games as of yet.

If you want to attempt to manage your own expectations, we can look at the release dates for the current chapters.
Book One was released in October of 2014. Book Two was released this month, March of 2015. That is a five month time frame.
Based on this information, we can make a general assumption that Book Three will be released in August of 2015.
That would place the release of Book Four in January of 2016 and the release of Book Five in June of 2016.

Of course, this is just a guess, but it's all we can really go on for the moment. I hope this helps!
If I remember correctly, the developers said that book 3 is supposed to take less time to be released than book 2 did. They also said that all books are supposed to be released until the end of the year.
This is true, jpilot. However, Book Two was supposed to be released in February but was delayed. As RTG is also hinting at some sort of bonus DLC in April/May for their KS backers, Book Three probably won't see release until some time after that. That would be June at the earliest, only two months earlier than my "guesstimate" above. If there are unexpected delays like with Book Two, the release might be much closer to my "guesstimate". That wouldn't leave a lot of time to get two more Books out before the end of the year.

I am more than willing to be wrong about this...and I'm sure that RagnarTornquist will chime in eventually to set me straight. Still, these are the only concrete dates to go off of at this time. I know committing to a release date is risky since, if you miss it, you'll upset people, but until they do so, we are kinda in the dark.

Besides, if I say August and they release it ealier, isn't that a good thing? ^_^

I didn't mean to say your estimate is wrong or unrealistic. I just wanted to add some information that might be useful. :)
Sure, there might be further delays, but then again I think the developers are still trying to meet their internal deadlines.

It is probably best to assume that you are right, and in case they release the next episode earlier be happy about it, rather than assume some more optimistic date and then be upset if it is not ready by then..

You cannot go by the release dates of the other books, book three is already underway (it is all downhill from now on) and I heard it wil be out in a couple of weeks. And the next two books will be completeded before the end of the year.

As I said, I will be more than happy to be wrong. However, I'm curious what your source is for Book Three coming out in a couple of weeks. The last I heard was the following, from their March 19th Kickstarter update:

The team is back in full production mode on both Book Three and a little surprise we have planned for April/May. This surprise will be available first to our early access backers, followed by the rest of our backers, and finally everyone else...so stay tuned for more information about that. Soon. Ish.

In terms of timelines, Book Three won't take as long as Book Two. We probably won't announce any release date until we're very close, but we will of course continue to update you all on our progress along the way.
As it stands, per the above quote, KS backers can expect some kind of bonus DLC in a couple weeks, but Book Three has no specific release window as of yet. If you have some information you can link to that is newer than this, I would definitely be interested to see it.
I got the information from "kickstarter".

Quote : It was the (lack of) testing and bug fixing that triggered our decision to delay release a couple of weeks. Book Two is officially done, and the team is working on Book Three, but we haven't been able to test it thoroughly enough to be comfortable with releasing it just yet. With another two weeks of testing, bug fixing and polishing, we will be able to deliver a much more stable and enjoyable experience.

We do anticipate a more rapid development process for Book Three, however, which is already well into production. Books Four and Five will arrive later this year, concluding the story of Zoë Castillo, the Dreamer.

Arktos33: Ok. Thanks!
Ragnar Tørnquist and his team are not even sure of the release dates to any of the forth-coming books!
This update is from February 19th, a full month older than the update that I posted. Plus, the information you are sighting is being misinterpreted due to poor sentence structure on RTG's part. The post you are referencing was made in regards to the delay of Book Two. Allow me to dissect their post a bit in order to enhance clarity. My edits will be enclosed in [brackets] and important details will be shown in bold.
It was the (lack of) testing and bug fixing that triggered our decision to delay release [of Book Two] a couple of weeks. Book Two is officially done, and [on an unrelated note] the team is working on Book Three, but we haven't been able to test it [meaning Book Two] thoroughly enough to be comfortable with releasing it just yet [meaning the original Book Two release date of February 24th]. With another two weeks of testing, bug fixing and polishing, we will be able to deliver a much more stable and enjoyable experience [for Book Two, which was released, sixteen days later, on March 12th].

We do anticipate a more rapid development process for Book Three, however, which is already well into production [but with no confirmed release date]. Books Four and Five will arrive later this year, concluding the story of Zoë Castillo, the Dreamer.
So, the Book that you were quoting would be released in "a couple of weeks" was actually Book Two. Book Three is not given a release window of any kind in this post, nor in the more recent March 19th update that I linked to previously. The information regarding Books Four and Five being released before the end of the year is the only vague release information that can actually be taken away from this.

And yet you were just trying to prove that they were.

Not so, but it is better than your idea on what to go on, my info is from the source, unlike your guess work.

How do you figure that you weren't trying to prove that Ragnar knew when the remaining Books would be released?

That is the entire point of your quoted posts above.

Also, their estimate (which you now claim you weren't trying to prove existed) is better than mine?
Because it says the Books will come out sooner that I'm predicting?
Fair enough, I suppose. :P

I was quoting not proving. You are getting your knickers in a twist!
