Hi, I have an important question to ask anybody who knows the answer. I started playing Dreamfall Chapters in late-December 2016, after having played through The Longest Journey in late-November 2016 and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey in early-December 2016.

I made it to Book 2 in Dreamfall Chapters, but haven't gotten back to playing since like a month ago. I would like to pick it back up again, but for the sake of the feeling of greater continuity, I'm desiring to play it from the very beginning again. But obviously there is the issue of the saves and the recorded choices. I have a few questions about this, one I've been wondering even before.

#1. For games like Life Is Strange, it's much easier to determine how the saves work with the choices. There are 3 game slots in that game, and each one has it's choices independent from each of those 3 saves. But however, for Dreamfall Chapters, it's episodic like Life If Strange is, but there aren't separate game slots for separate playthroughs. So firstly, it becomes difficult to determine which playthrough it is, (like if you started over or something).

So when you reload a previous save that has different choices than the furthest-along save, what happens to the choices mechanic? Do the choices constantly change when you reload each save which has different choices?

And what does this mean for the online recording of those choices. Does it only change the choices that you're making on-the-fly, or does it load all of the choices in the save online?

And finally, when you choose to start from an earlier Chapter and/or Book, it lets you know that your previous choices will be over-written and cannot be undone. But since you can reload saved games with any number of choices in them, does it really reload all of those choices back in, even if you started a new game and went through the warning of the previous choices being lost, and then let's say you make your first choice again, and then decide to reload a save from let's say Chapter 3, does it reload all of the choices back in, even though it warned when starting a new game from scratch that it would overwrite the saves? How does this work exactly ?
