I remember playing The Longest Journey and being awestruck by its beauty, narrative and it's excellent dubbed voice acting.

Living In a country where EVERYTHING gets dubbed, gave rise to extremely talented voice actors and very high quality dubbing studios. Sadly this did not apply to videogames which usually got the short end of stick and seemed to employ anyone who seemed to be around at the time and was cheap enough, resulting in some of the most horrendous voice acting I've ever heard.

The Longest Journey broke that trend, using the same professional voice actors we were used to hearing in Hollywood blockbusters. Talented actors who knew how to read a script and how to lend the right intonation and cadence to each phrase.

Also April Ryan shared her voice with Buffy Summers which made her even more badass.

Since these translations were commissioned by the local distributors individually, they hold copyright over them. As such, if they're still distributors, it would work against them to make these dubbed versions available to gog users. But in the case of the spanish version, which was made by FX Interactive, the game seems unavailable. It's listed in their webpage, but it's not for sale in their store. Maybe they've lost the rights to sell it, or maybe they can only sell the retail version, (which is at this point they don't have any unsold copies of).

So I wonder what are the chances of those dubbed audio tracks being sold, or leased back to fun com, or online distributors, since FX cannot profit from them anymore. Could some sort of arrangement be made with them, or would it be far too complicated from a legal and/or commercial point of view?
