I love the premise of this game, and just wanted to know if it's a heavy nod to the 80's FTL game 'SUNDOG'?

They feel very similar in nature, and this one seems like it's got a few more complexities. Cool enough I suppose, might pick it up one day. :)

I had not heard of Sundog before. When I checked I saw it was released for Apple // and Atari ST. I never had those platforms. Really surprised it was not on the C64 and Amiga and then PC though.

I totally see what you mean as The Last Strship looks like it has a big nod to this title. No idea if the devs knew of this title at all.

I see there is a Sundog resurrection project going on as well that I saw that has been going for a long long long long time. Oddly they want you to sign an NDA before download....... yeah I don't think so.

Looking forward to more updates of The Last Starship, already spent quite a long time on it since it's public release on GoG a week or so ago. Totally loving it.
