Have you looked in any .ini files if there are any to see if you can change it there?

Yes, I've seen game.ini, there's
[General]
Bildmodus=FULLSCREEN
and swapping it to WINDOWED changes nothing :/

Change that value to DIRECTWINDOW instead, however that mode has it's fair share of display glitches...

Hey, it's working with the TL executable. The other one is just plain buggy.

Nico, do you have any issues with it not showing some parts on the right side of a window, i.e. the cart graphics in the inventory display when using the TL executable?

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I felt compelled to thank the forum members for allowing me to rapidly find an answer to my question: how to activate windowed mode. I would have never guessed "DIRECTWINDOW" was the right command.
And I do have the graphical issue of the right side of every window not showing when using the TL executable. The other executable is useless in windowed mode.

So I've been trying to get this working. I've set the following.

[General]
Bildmodus=DIRECTWINDOW

I've tried launching the game from the gog desktop icon, the start menu, the Europa1400Gold_TL.exe directly, and the Europa1400Gold.exe directly.

It always launches as full-screen.
