Well, it certainly isn't really intuitive, but this is how you do it.
Click on "Credit" (it's in the left-had side of the bank interior), then on "Release", and then you can set the amount of money to be used in the bank. If you slide the slider to 0, you get all your money back (but you won't be able to give credits).
