Has anyone else noticed how awesome the soundtrack of The Guild is?
It's full of solid tunes that give a really nice atmosphere to the game and which, due to their instrumental and non-invasive nature, can be played as background music outside of the game (which I have been doing for some time). Also, I think the music fits the game very well.
I was wondering why GOG doesn't give it as a bonus download; it's readily available in the game's msx folder. Could it be legal issues?
Anyway, I'm curious if anyone who has played this game enjoys its music as much as I do.
I enjoyed it, too. And now that you mention it, It really was very well-done and "fit" the game well. I think The Guild's great atmosphere is at least half in thanks to the music. In particular, I like the Auf dem Ball, Hungerlohn, Mit Flinkem Stich, Crescendo and summer time songs.
But yeah, not sure why the music is not clearly marked when the full versions are all there in mp3 format...but at least they'e easy to grab that way. Maybe I'll add the game's tracks to my MP3 player, it might help with studying. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
