Hello
I bought this game today hoping that I could play it together with my bf over the network - but alas, that doesn't work. :-(
A regular single player game start up as expected, and everything looks as it should. When I initiate a multiplayer game, everything works as intended up until the point where we both press "Ready" and the game starts. The loading screen comes up, with the loading indicator showing something between 5 and 10% green - and that's it. Nothing more happens (except the harddrive led indicator is flashing a lot).
After waiting for several minutes I got tired of waiting and just pressed ctrl-alt-del and did an end process on the game.
We're both running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 - and obviously the computers are communicating etc since I can find the game etc. Oh, and I tried hosting on both computers, with no change. :-(

Are you both running it as administrators? What about the firewalls? Are they set to let the game have access to the net? Also, how about both of your network drivers...check to see if both of you have updated network card drivers.

It appears I was a bit hasty and impatient last night. I tried to launch a game again today, and the loading indicator still didn't move for several minutes - but suddenly it did start moving, and the game eventually started. It just takes several minutes.
I just hope the game doesn't crash too much, since waiting that long every time it loads a saved game can get tedious... :P

I would like to add that the game functions above all expectations when the multiplayer session has started! I was kinda dubious about purchasing this game, because I've heard there's so many bugs - but we didn't experience any crashes while playing, and we played for 4 hours straight! :-)

Hi ya,
I got the same problem,
I set up a new game, set the city, settings, profession, etc...
till I press "Ready" button.
Then my GF do the same things, till we both press the ready button and proceed to loading screen.
We wait for 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins...
I took a shower.... I made a cup of tea.... (I'm not exaggerating)
So after 30 mins, the loading bar only reach about 15%
Then I need to ctrl alt del, open task manager, and close the guild program manually.
all of sudden the other computer (who still loading), boost the bar to 70-80%.
But stuck & crash.
Is there any fix for this?
