I played the original game off CD a good couple of years ago and even then it seemed somewhat...draggy, is the only word I can use for it. 'Not smooth'.
Having just re-discovered the game, now with the expansion, on here, I was excited to download and have another go (I did enjoy my last forays into the murky world of the Guild!) But, the gameplay is even WORSE.
I have tried various things to try and get better movement...fiddling about with the sliders under 'Options' (so hard getting the clicks to register...grr) and then when that did not improve things, restarting after installation (usually sorts out a myriad of things, but no, not this time.) Then looked at my PC performance in the Task Manager and ended a few tasks that seemed to be taking up a lot of CPU memory/capacity whatever. Basically, trying whatever I can think of in my limited experience.
Still hitting a blank. And now feeling a little miserable that I might have wasted my money on a game that still doesn't work right.
Any suggestions would be welcome, please, and thank you.
