Okaaayyy... I've read the manual and while it explains that to get a wife you need to expend time (APs) and you can only court women of your same status, it doesn't say where should I go and where should I click to get the process started.
Any help?

Quite simply click your name in the upper left on the main screen and you'll have an option to "Court a spouse", select that and you'll be given a list of potential matches to chose from (preferably old and rich *cough*).
Once done that button will change to telling you whom you're courting and every turn after you can select to send a gift to your fiancée to shorten the time 'til (s)he finally accepts your proposal.
