Has this release fixed the out of Sync (OoS) That plagued the steam and original release? Cause if not then I sadly won't buy

I didn't buy the game from gog, but as I own the retail games and went though the OoS mess: It's unlikely. The very committed community back then didn't find a solution and there where some quite bright guys investing much time into the patching of the game.
