Hi,

I bought this game last night, and every time I try to run it, it starts up, then immediately crashes and asks to send an error report. I've tried running it in compatibility mode and as Administrator, but the exact same thing just happens. Anybody have any clue on what to do here, as I'd really like to be able to play them game.

I was having this issue as well, it seems to crash if anything else is running.. when I killed all other programs (something I never do) it ran fine.

On my laptop the game starts, but then freezes right after the intros, when i start the application from the normal shortcut. Using the "Europa1400Gold_TL.exe" (or "The Guild Gold (TnL)" from the windows Start menu )in the game folder i can play normally. Apparently the other version doesn't agree with my graphics chips.
Random crashes still occur, but are rare.
Maybe you could try and see if that helps for you too?

Just bought the game and crash at startup under win7 64bits with my laptop. I forced the game to use the inboard graphic chip instead of my GT540M and I played 3 hours in a row, no crash. Hope that help. Really fun game btw.

if having issues with game crashing, run the program in compatibility mode under windows xp... it doesnt like vista or win7
