If your inn (or wherever) runs out of materials, the game will remind you - mercilessly - that you are out, every 10 seconds until the situation is fixed.
Its easy to get stuck or wait hours for your slowly growing business to make enough money to do something.
Only a few menu options are easy access. I found myself constantly hunting for which menu did what, and where that menu was located. Further, there is very little support left, the manual is only barely helpful, and the in game help is even worse.
I regret paying for this.

You can filter what messages are sent to you. So you can filter out the "out of raw materials" messages if you like
This was a review? ;)

Really? :O

Anyway... You can speed up the game if it's going to slow, put it in fast forward. I always played at a slower pace, because it's what I like, very relaxing game to play. I played this game when I was really young, I didn't have any trouble figuring out what to do after I played it a few times. This isn't a game where you can just jump in with a gun and shoot everything with clicking the mouse over and over again, you have to run a business, as well as your own life, and possibly ruining the lives of others if you wanted to be a bad guy. It's good to pause the game and issue orders when you need to do more than one thing at once.

It's a game that rewards those who give it time to learn how to play and how things work. A game with a lot of depth, and great replay value.
