Short, but well crafted

Honestly what I expected given the title was a werewolf hunt or something like that.
What I got was a giant scorpion/spider and a LOT of centipedes (I'm just thankful it wasn't maggots or cockroaches). XD
I either got caught up in the dramatic finish or the art style made them not so terrifying.
While I was miraculously fine, others suffering from insect phobia might not be.

Moonlight is actually the name of the town and you're playing as a newbie Falconer/exterminator.
Some monsters are plainly oversized scorpion/spider hybrids, another hides in human clothing (thankfully just one).

The game is part action, part mystery/catch the culprit.
While you don't have timed sequences, there are plenty of choices, some seemingly meaningless with long-reaching consequences.
Though you can save at any time and there are plenty of save slots.

I loved it that even when it looked like I clearly messed up irreversibly, the game still had a way out to get a good ending and what I learned from my mistakes will be helpful in potential future playthroughs, but for now, I've had enough horror for one night.
Also, keep in mind there's a lot of cursing and drinking and a good deal of blood in the game, so it's not suitable for a teen or child.

The story and suspense are done incredibly well and the music is rather chilling, though it didn't play in some parts - if it's a "load game" error or intentional I don't know.
The art is also great, though the characters don't have that many different expressions in some situations.

Otherwise, it's an incredibly well done visual novel that I can easily recommend, though keep in mind it's also short, even a slow reader will be done with a playthrough in about 3 hours.

P.S. All I wanted was to warn people with a phobia similar to mine that they may find triggers in the game.

I'd also like to request that GOG's staff lock this thread.
Too often I've seen insect phobia be ridiculed and I'd prefer a locked thread then give it a chance to happen.
"But those tiny things can't hurt you.", "You're a giant compared to them."
Believe me, I've heard many such arguments and rationally I know they're correct.
But that doesn't stop my blood from running cold when seeing or hearing a cockroach.
We're not talking about "They're gross and icky.", but something that could induce a full-blown panic attack.
Rapid breathing and heart rate, inability to think of anything except escaping.
This isn't a mere fear, it's a pure terror.
Irrational yes, but very real.

If you suffer from any kind of phobia, seek professional help and settle only with someone you're comfortable with and if they are willing to go at the pace you need.
There are wonderful people out there that can and will help you and not everyone uses shock therapy.
I'm in a step by step process myself and it's doing a world of good. :D

No idea. Being a visual novel, you just click to advance the text and select things.

You're welcome. :)

I haven't heard of a visual novel supporting controllers before (doesn't feel like there's a need), but you could ask the developers for an exact answer.
