Just to notice, if you want a wider FOV (Field of View) in EW1, you could try the tool Flawless Widescreen, see flawlesswidescreen.org.

This tool has a plug-in for The Evil Within, so you can change the FOV within the game (numpad + and -)
I find it better to play if I can see more around me. It does not change the FOV to absurd values.
It also applies some patches, see screenshot.

This tool runs in the background waiting for the game to start and it works fine with GOG Galaxy 2 beta Client.
I had no issues with that.

Just curious if this is still working. I'm playing EW1 for the first time and wanted to try this out. But Flawless Widescreen just sits there with the message "Searching for The Evil Within process..." and spewing messages saying "Failed to open process, error code = 5" and never hooks the game. Is there some trick to getting it to work?
