How do you "orient the thief" in the tutorial?
The tutorial tells you to do it, but not how to do it.
And I can't find any in game help menu.
Is there one?

Ctrl-left-click on the waypoints to approach the enemy according to the route you designate. When you arrive at the last point, use the mouse to rotate the arrow until it points to the orc, meaning the thief will be facing the orc. (you don't want to expose your back to an enemy unless you have no choice)

But the tutorial would not respond to any action at that point.
I restarted the game with the tutorial turned off.
I probably missed a few good tips, but I managed to finish the game, in spite of the serious difficulty spike in the DLC's.

Thank you both for this. This glitch was driving me crazy as well. For anyone still about to play the game, I managed to get around this glitch by following the above instructions but when clicking on the last point (of three), I made sure my arrow on the last point was not facing the orc directly. Then the tutorial let me proceed to point the arrow directly at the orc.
