We are pleased to announce the inclusion of The Dawning Clocks of Time (Original) Director's Cut with REMAKE. On Windows systems, it has been added as a launch option to GOG Galaxy and a desktop shortcut. This was previously exclusive to Steam and Epic Game Store, and we are delighted to bring it to Good Old Games!

We made the decision to include the Director's Cut of the original game for players new to the franchise which will bring the entire universe to you in a cohesive way.

The original game is a 2.5D Turn Based RPG which was adapted from the novel, of which the 3D REMAKE was adapated from the original game, with flourishes and decisions made for when it made the 3D jump!

We highly recommend you play the Director's Cut if you've never seen it before!

Patch Notes

This important patch fixes issues reported to us by players, and improvements based on feedback for THE DAWNING CLOCKS OF TIME REMAKE.

Fixed Chariot being invisible in Vita Base when starting the first mission to Aether. This was caused by a race condition.
Fixed save point being stuck in floor in Sven's room by moving it just outside by the door, preventing clipping through the floor upon reloading. Due to the nature of the pathfinding, it is recommended to save outside Vita Base in the future.
Improved FPS in Vita Base by optimizing culling distance.
Removed uneeded graphic downscaling left over from the Nintendo Switch port.
Fixed an issue installing the game on macOS.

A race condition can arise in software when a computer program has multiple code paths that are executing at the same time. If the multiple code paths take a different amount of time than expected, they can finish in a different order than expected, which can cause software bugs due to unanticipated behavior.
