Hello!
What can I expect for difficulty?
I hate food requirement and savegame restrictions, they discourage exploration and experimenting and create strain while I play games for fun and relaxation; although I read the difficulty is moderate (the CRPG Addict rated it 3.0 out of 5.0)
If I understand correctly, the levels are separated by the sanctuaries so exploring one side of a sanctuary gets me to close this area, right (on the other hand, in the first area there is a wall picture with a map that does not fit the map of this area)? If so, a strategy might be to fully explore an area, then restore the one backup game and make a "perfect" beeline run to the next sanctuary and backup possibility. Until achieving this, regularly going back to the last sanctuary for backup.
Does someone have thoughts about that?
Edit: I would have deleted the topic if it would be possible, after realizing this a classic dungeon crawler where beside the battles the difficulty is in the maps. Activating a pressure plate and running around the whole area where there might be a change? Running into a spinner and - without permanent compass - never knowing? No way. And glimpsing at a walkthrough there really are hard battles. And like many dungeon crawlers, it does not tell about armor and weapon stats.
So, sorry for the inconvenience, I skip this game and directly go to Pool of Radiance.
