Maybe it's just a minor thing, but I remember that it made me wonder when I played it for the first time.
Now, I am replaying this game and this one thing still... bothers me.

It's Doctor X's current victim. that woman he tortures, after he killed Susan. After we saved her, we have two possibilities, giving her Susan's anme or... not.
I beleive both choices lead to Susan suggesting the woman to go to the police station. And... that's it. Nothing is ever coming from this anymore.

What I mean is, why doesn't the police get into contact with Susan? Granted, the woman was tortured for a while, so her memory might be a bit off and maybe she even can't remember Susan's name. But consider this, the womancalls the police and they investigate the crome scene.
Also, I'd assume the police would investigate Doctor X's patients. I mean, while he did offer Liz private sessions, he also killed Susan, who was a regular patient. Also... oh god... how do I put this in english? In german, I'd say now: "Er hätte Entlassungspapiere einfach fälschen können und während alle Welt glaubte, der Patient sei daheim, war er in Wirklichkeit tot". feel free to use a translator, I'm too lazy to do this myself right now,. Sorry.

So one has to wonder, why does the police never contact Susan? There are at least five or six victims, three being used as rotting sculptures, while the others are just... there. And some of them must be patients. Also, I wonder if Doctor X had any other hideouts with more rotting sculptures.

I would have been happy, if a police officer would have just appeared, asked a few questions about the Doctor and confirmed Susan's well-being. Maybe asking her if she had noticed anything sdtrange about the Doctor, while mentioning the only (known) survivor was saved by a middle aged woman with dark hair.
But instead... there is nothing. And there are even fingerprints on the weapon she used to kill the first parasite.

Also, granted, we don't know how much times passes. Between chapter 2 and 4 one day passes. Chapter 3 being the of the incident and chapter 4 the day after. But right now, I can't remember any other specific dates or time skips in regards to finding out who Adam is and the other parasites.

But it is still a thing that makes me wonder why it was never brought up again. Even if it's just a minor thing.

I hope my english isn't too messed up. It's very late here at the time of writing, I'm tired and don't write that much usually.
First off, the German. Are you saying: "He could have simply forged release papers, and while the whole world believes the patients are at home, they are in reality dead."

Second off, it is indeed unusual for no police follow-up in the case of you revealing your name. The police would at least want to ask Susan how she found the location and why she killed Doctor X rather than simply incapacitating him. The lack of such a scene likely is just an oversight by the devs, as such a scene wouldn't add anything to the main story being told (though it would make it more realistic).

If you don't reveal your name, however, then it's no surprise. Victims tend to recall character descriptions somewhat inaccurately, often adding in features of someone they know or a celebrity. Also, Doctor X had said that Susan's release papers were already signed, so unless most/all of the victims were patients, the police would have no reason to suspect Susan.
Indeed, this is all assuming that Dr. X's victim even told the police who really saved her. Telling the police the identity of the person who killed someone to save you might seem like a good way to send them up the river for murder (legally whether liability for murder exists is another ball of wax), and the victim, being grateful for being saved, may choose to not identify the person who saved them to avoid a perceived unjust result.
