Not knowing what to do half the time isn't fun. Walking at a glacial pace isn't fun. I like thought provoking horror, this is it, but fun? I dunno. Need to give it another shot but i've hit one of those adventure game brick walls and have no clue what to do. Tried basicly everything. VERY early on in the game. I got it during the sale due to all the praise but right now i'm not seeing it. Maybe it's just me but i usualy dig this kind of game.

I got me a gate of animal heads, myself hanging from a tree with an knot that's just too much effort for our protagonist and another locked door, a barn with a machine that doesn't work and a emergency switch that again requires too much effort from the protagonist. The tunnel's caved in, the deer doesn't move, the crow keeps spawning and... i dunno. I'll probably love it in a few weeks and be all "What was i thinking before this game is art" like the rest of you. At least i hope i do.

Honestly, that part of the game is pretty bad when it comes to general design. I wandered around and examined everything that seemed halfway relevant, which got me up to the bit with the raven, but that I only managed to get past due to sheer trial and error. As for the game being "art", I'll grant that the story is well written, but it ultimately fails at using gaming as a storytelling medium by dumping exposition with gameplay almost being an afterthought. I liked the game the first time I played it, but now I'm putting it on an honorable mention for my personal list of the worst examples of games as art; rest assured, you're not alone in your reaction.

I would give it another try. This game is a pure masterpiece. You will miss a lot of emotional storytelling.

SPOILER ahead!!!!

You just have to follow the raven.

The game is not really this hard. I had one or two moments, when I did not know, what to do. But this is nothing unusual for an adventure game. Just watch your surroundings carefully and you will find the necessary hints.
The beginning is the game's worst part. Persevere for 20 more minutes and your goals will become much clearer, and your surroundings more mundane. I myself almost gave up at that part, but later on I loved the experience.

Unfortunately, when it is hard, it is nonsensical. The hospital mirror puzzle providing a name needed to progress was especially galling because there was a perfectly good set of files that would have held the needed information; all Susan needed to do was grab them when Nurse Ratched went to take care of the clogged toilet. Instead the game requires you to do the most counter-intuitive thing possible and start tripping balls so that you can hallucinate a name in a mirror (only if you turned the hot water on, though).

You need to follow the crow in order to continue.
Personal, I didn't fiound this part to be hard. I had more troubles leaving the hospital.
In any case, someone else had the issue with the forest and... well, look here:
