I have a question about the Cat Widow story. Please, be honest. Did anyone of you resisted the temptation of a giant zombie cat? I mean it was pretty obvious it's not a story anymore but something which Susan was actually doing so somehow I knew it just wouldn't happen but I just couldn't let it go. I would try it even if I knew that would be a game over and I would have to start from the beginning. Nothing could possibly stop me! A giant zombie cat?! That was hilarious! Was there anyone who resisted? ;D

My temptation to click that choice was solely based on Novotnus avatar and signature. It was like, oh look a Novotnus choice, well I guess that is the right one to click. <click>

For me it was other way around: after clicking the giant zombie cay I realized: "hey somebody has this picture as an avatar" and then found Novotnus and read his signature

YES! Everybody has to see the Giant Zombie Cat in all his gory... I mean, glory!

I resisted the temptation of using the giant zombie cat.

I like suspense in a horror story. When you could never point your finger on WHAT is causing the haunting. Think of "The haunting of Hill House", where clearly something odd is happening in the story, but the protagonists never figure out what is haunting that place. Well, other than that Hill House is haunted and is said to be quite... generous with its hospitality.

During the story, I tried to pick answers, that would cause a similar kind of suspense. When I read the option about the giant zombie cat, I dismissed that idea wihout a second thought.
First of all, it would have killed the suspense. "Look, I'm a giant cat zombie! I caused all the trouble for you this evening. Also, I'm looking scaaaaaary!"
Second, I don't like zombies.very much. But overall, it would just have killed the suspense that was huilt so far.
Also, the messages written on the bedroom's walls had such a nice Hill House vibe, when Thea's bedroom is covered in blood with yet another message for Nell to go home.
I also dismissed the idea of shooting that guy. I'm tired of works that rely on a lot of violence, to show how "creepy" they are. Of course, there are exceptions. Dead Space (the first and only the first) for example. The Cat Lady also, as it has a nice balance between violence and suspense.

I can see where you're coming from, but for me those jokes Susan put in her story made her more of a person. We usually see her depressed \ in danger \ grim. Seeing her doing something she wanted to do for a long time, enjoying it and throwing a joke or two during her story made her more alive and real.

If you pick any of the options you mentioned, Mitzi cuts in, tells Susan it's stupid and Susan gets back to her story telling what really happened.

Well, I couldn't resist to choose less likely answer a little earlier - the "asshole" thing on door. After Mitzi's ingenious reply, everything after was just a matter of choosing most hilarious option and watching what will happen. I think it was perfectly placed "light moment", exactly where it was needed in such touching, scarry, and grim (?) experience of whole story.

Did I just see an allusion to Dexter written above a door in GOG's presentation video?
