I've tried used the website and tried using GoG Galaxy but I cannot get Cat Lady to download or install. Via web it says on the d/l "failed - system busy" and for GoG it says "Installation Failed: Disk Access Problem" What do I do? :(

You're not the first person in Japan (assuming your forum info is correct) having trouble downloading GOG games, unfortunately... :/

I'm not particularly tech savvy myself, but for now you could try using the official GOG Downloader, an early alternative to Galaxy. First, you need to get the Downloader itself, which can be found here. Then, after you installed it, go to your GOG library via web browser, click on The Cat Lady -> MORE -> GOG DOWNLOADER LINKS and then click on the installer; GOG Downloader should start downloading it and when it's done you'll have to manually install the game like you would do when you downloaded directly via the website.

I hope this solution works for you, if it doesn't, let's hope someone else can help you further.

Happy gaming.
HA! I'm not in Japan anymore, maybe that was the issue. I thought I had changed everything that listed me as still living there. That could be the issue. I'll be testing it out later tonight to see if that fixed it, if not, I'll try the other route you presented. Thank you!

Edit: It apparently wasn't because I was set to Japan but the method you laid out worked, thank you <3

I'm really glad it worked, enjoy The Cat Lady, it is an amazing game -- one of the best point & click adventures in recent years.

Happy gaming! :D
For the record, I was also having this exact problem. I solved it using the proposed solution: downloading and installing it without using GOG Galaxy (which then detected the game without problems, although I disabled automatic updates just in case).

In case it helps anyone to solve the problem: I was running Avast and Zonealarm. I didn't try to disable them temporarily, so I don't know if they have anything to do with the problem, but I'm aware that sometimes this kind of security software can interfere with inocuous programs.
