***SPOILER ALERT***

Hi,

In the cave towards the end of Chapter 3, when I try to extract coal from the vein, I am doing things in this order:

1. Dynamite is already in place
2. Then, I have added broken scales to mounting, then added the lit candle
3. Put this contraption on the bongo drum
4. Added sand to the empty sack to get a sandbag
5. Added the sandbag to the rope

NOW, THE BUG: the sandbag vanishes and there is no hotspot on the rope, so there is no way to interact with the sandbag. So I am stuck.

Does anyone have an alternate way to do this segment so I can avoid the bug / does anyone have a save game beyond this point?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The rope is not tied on the screenshot.
You cannot use your trusty knife on the sandbag rather than interacting with it normal?

I suggest not placing the rope before you're ready to complete the puzzle. At least, when I put the rope in that room, then left the room and came back later with the sandbag, the game would glitch. But once I replayed and did not attach the rope before I had everything else I needed (so I wouldn't have to leave the room before completing the puzzle), it worked.
