I just started the game and my characters are all lvl 5. I have a glaring downtime right now when the game is at night.

Garth is closed
Review board is closed
I am out of spell points a few hours into the night and still have a long night to go.

I am basically waiting outside the temple and not moving at all, waiting for the encounters to come to me. Last "night" I had to do the same thing: waited for about an hour before the sun comes up so I can recharge my spell point.

DURING THIS TIME, INSTEAD OF WAITING AND PULLING MY NOSE HAIR, is there anything else I can do? Like find an inn to sleep in until the sun comes up and hopefully recharge spell points when i sleep 8 hours (like so many other games)

Just thinkong of ways to maximize playtime,

Oh, and I don't have the money to pay for the high Roscoe prices yet, nor would I want to even when I get some more gold (ok, maybe when i am in my millions)

(Assuming you're referring to BT1 or BT2; you really should specify which game you're talking about)

Go back to the Adventurer's Guild. Entering and leavning it will set the clock to early morning, and everything (that's closed at night) will be open again.

Also, once you start going into dungeons, you will find yourself with more loot than you know what to do with, and there isn't much to spend your money on (there aren't any more stores, and the only way to add items to Garth's inventory is to sell them), so you might as well spend it at roscoe's; at that point, it's much faster to earn enough money to recharge your spell points than to wait for them to recharge naturally.

(One annoying thing about the remaster: In the classic versions, the guild would always reset the time to morning, but in the remaster, for whatever reasons, this only happens at night; this gets extremely annoying if it's still day time, but you don't want to go shopping or to the Review Board because night could fall while you're still trying to manage inventory or level up, interrupting you.)
Yep you are right - Im just starting BT1 and thanks for the tip!

You're welcome.

(By the way, your party does have at least one bard or spellcaster, right?)
