your update routines are a pain in the ass - it's iis freaking too big (2 times 25 GB!? i can redownload the f*cking game for that) and it takes AGES to patch.

It has apparently something to do with GOG and how patches are made available. On Steam the same patches are normal sized patches, depending on the amount of fixes and updates. By now, I regret getting the GOG version instead of the steam version.. I decided to uninstall the game and wait a few more months until most patching is done before I give it another go.
