I know there are niggling problems and small tweaks to be made, but I have to put this out there because forums can really focus on the negatives (and gamers tend to be a group who has a feeling of entitlement): This remaster is fantastic. It is far beyond my expectations.
I played the original back when it first came out and, at the time, it had some frustrating, but necessary, design shortcomings -- just because the tech wasn't there; for instance, memorizing the abbreviated names of the spells and mapping was a little annoying, even for the time (the mapping was necessary for many games, way back then).
Sure, in the remaster, the priests sing a little too long when healing and I think it would be cool to color code the player names and enemy names (green and red, repsectively), so when the text is flipping by, it's easier to see at a glance who is doing what to whom -- along with probably a few dozen other little fixes and improvements -- but in all the game is fantastic. Great job!
