When I first played this game, the very first thing that popped into my mind, was the Town of Skara Brae. Which is famous for being the town of Spirituality in the Ultima series.

So I was wondering if the company that made Bard's Tale and Origin had some sort of friendly crossover of sorts.
Even further is that you can import characters from Ultima 3 as well as multiple other games.

Even then... Skara Brae is a real-life historical Scottish village so... coincidence?
According to Hardcoregaming101.net "Roe R. Adams III, who had already written the manuals for previous Wizardry games[....]was kind of an omnipresent figure in the early CRPG scene, because not only did he use to write RPG columns in several computer magazines, he is also the only one who had worked on three of the big RPG series of the 1980s - Ultima, Wizardry and The Bard's Tale. It seems to be to his credit that all three game worlds contain a city called Skara Brae."

Where is Skara Brae in the Wizardry series? (For this purpose, only the Sir-Tech games count, not the Japanese entries.)

Spealing of omnipresent figure...
I dunno. I'm just quoting.
But maybe the author was thinking of the Hawkwind (with variations of the name) character, which was Adams' RPG character, and indeed is present is all three series.
