I´ll try to ask this as spoiler free as possible:

made it to the top of the tower
game sets the quest to "complete"
got 4 (in words four) candles
cant figure out how to place them
placing them seems to be terminal, because cant pick them up any ore after placing
no strife spear so far
or do i need more than 4 candles? 7?
...

probably bugged...
reloaded from save spot and started placing candles
after the second (!?!) the game played the "success" ringtone and presented me with the strife spear...
well.. i dont know if it kinda "saved" all my unsuccessful placings beforhand or if you REALLY need just these 2 (or even 1) candle..... buggers, Ill just play on :)

ok, my bad... on the way down i found 2 more candles and maybe there is a seventh hidden somewhere...
but strange that i got the spear anyways ?!?

by the way: it just came to my attention that my fighters sabatons dont show on its character pic :) they are equipped, but he is depicted barefoot :)))
