Okie I can get the remake to work, but loading up the bards tale original tales of the unknown, it doesnt work, it gets stuck on character transfers.

Why doesnt this just run in dosbox like every other game. Okie fixed the install problem

Also cant fix the resolution. I can set the resolution , but cant set it to windowed mode, because running a 640x480 in fullscreen makes it look like bantha poodoo.

This is the first game Ive gotten from gog that I have a problem with.

Try running them outside the game via KEGS or MESS.

the way its set up in Bards tale, it constantly locks up the computer, every time I try to load or create a character, it really really doesnt like that drive system they use.

Lucky you mine won't start or exit . I need to cold boot to exit game.
I'm trying to get BT1 to run. I couldn't get it to run through the GOG download startup, so I tried using MESS. It seemed that some of the instructions on the PC Gaming Wiki page were a little out of date because I got to the point where it said to click on the Device View tab and mount two files. There was no Device View tab, but I figured out what tab it was (not difficult since there were only two), but when I tried to mount bt1d1.2mg and bt1d2.2mg as Floppy Disk (Sony), I get an error message and MESS shuts down.

I'm not tech-stupid, but I don't know what to do at this point. Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm having some severe nostalgia withdrawals and would like to feed the beast with some old Bard's Tale from my college days. Thank you in advance.
Simply doesn't work. Crashes after starting and sits in memory. have to go to task manager and kill it.
