Seneschul: GoG has done the right thing in keeping both APIs available.

InXile has been wholly unprofessional in their behaviour, choosing not to utilize the best tools made available to them.
...
InXile blew the horse on this one.
They have stuff all over their face.
Absolutely this. People who are still blaming GOG or apportioning blame to GOG are misguided.

ohioastro: At minimum Gog should be much more proactive about communicating with developers and making it easier (or at least clearer) for them to upload patches. I don't know what extra hoops the develpers need to jump through to use their portal, for example. And the developers need to hear from GoG users that there is an annoying problem that they should be fixing.
Bullshit. inXile are veterans. They know all about portals. They use one on Steam and they know about the portal at GOG. They have Wasteland 2 and Tides of Numenera. They've been with GOG for ages. Where blame lies it is not with GOG.

F'ing Finally!!!

Now for the next patch, will you be using that 'new' gog portal or do we have to wait again?

Also, will the huge size of these patches be addressed?

Yeah just downloading it myself and 26GB is beyond belief.

I'm lucky in that I have 1TB a month quota but if all my games required I basically redownload them I would be wasting so much quota.
What is up with the size of these patches? 2 back-to-back that are 25GB+? Is it actually just re-downloading the entire game again each time it "patches"? I too have a 1TB/month limit, and 25GB/week for this seems insane.
It would be preferable if you'd start using the GOG dev portal. It's a tad poor customer service making people download the whole game again after a patch.
