Hello everyone!

I've been a GOG member for awhile, but it's my first time posting on the forums. I apologize if my question is in the wrong place or if this has already been asked. I looked through several pages here but couldn't find anything.

So my question is on mastery slots. I know that characters get 4 slots for abilities, one for trinkets and one for movement, but I noticed something. I'm level 12, I've left Skara Brae and for some reason, my bard still only has three mastery slots for abilities while all of my other characters have four. Is that normal? Does the bard only get a total of three for abilities, or did I miss something somewhere? My bard is the first character I created when I was able to, and I have a mix of custom and story characters in my party. All of the rest have four slots except the bard. Has anyone else experienced this, or know if I will unlock a fourth later on? Thanks!

Some equipable items will take up a mastery slot.

Unequip things, you'll get the mastery slot back.

Offhand slot is usually the culprit - I bet you have an ability for laying a column of fire in combat?
That firehorn/dragonhorn thing is the culprit, if that's teh case.

Aha! I didn't even think about that. I thought that would automatically appear in my mastery bar that I could swap out. So it's automatically locked due to the Fire Horn? Interesting. I'll definitely check that when I get home. I have a 150% feeling that you are correct. Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem and it was indeed the stupid Fire Horn. They should fix the UI so it tells you your fourth slots is locked, and what's locking it.
