In Bard's Tale II - The Flame Horn - (Not Fire Horn) is supposed to have a range of 70' from everything I see, but when I use it on enemy's at 70 it says out of range.

Yes, I have a feeling that this actually does matter. In particular, I note that this particular item is rather weak in BT2 DOS (to the point where it's not worth bothering with), but is quite good in BT2 on the Apple 2GS (where it's a very good item until you reach the 2nd level of the Gray Crypt; note that it works wonderfully on the 1st floor of that dungeon, since its breath attack isn't a spell and will therefore work in this version).
